These are images from a two-day August visit to Juneau. The whales are humpbacks feeding in the Pass off Lincoln Island. The opening and closing images were taken from Alaska Airlines 737s leaving and approaching Anchorage. The black bear was feeding on spawning humpy salmon at the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor's Center viewing station. The porcupine was wandering through the same area. The eagle was monitoring streams at low tide in Auke Bay.
