Hunter Eid, an Alyeska Ski Club U-16, enters the icy final pitch below Coaches’ Corner on Alyeska’s Race Trail in his second run in [yesterday’s] Thursday’s Coca-Cola Holiday Classic giant slalom. Eid was fastest in both runs and won by 4.01 seconds. Ski Club U-19 Austen Eriksson was second and Conner Lane was third, 1.9 seconds behind Eriksson. Although the lower course was very firm, racers were treated to clear skies and great light and consistent race conditions.

Sanne Cassee, an Alyeska Ski Club U-16, is mid-course in her first run en route to winning the second giant slalom in the Coca-Cola Holiday Classic series Thursday [yesterday] at Alyeska. April Ingrim, a U-19, was second, 2.36 seconds behind. Kennedy Kane, a U-16, was third, 2.6 seconds behind Ingrim. The series concludes with a slalom and dual slalom Saturday.
