Here are the June 11 concert photos. Uploading is now complete. 497 frames shot; 211 uploaded, including a panorama of three frames and a duplicated frame to isolate the harpist (Candace LiVolsi).

Wonderful concert. It was fun to shoot and fabulous to attend. Thank you all, and special thanks to Troy Quinn and Laura Haywood for giving me permission to photograph.

Free downloads are allowed for musicians and family, but please let me know if you are downloading (email me through the website): I like to know where my images are going. These images all have my watermark in the lower left corner. If you need a clean image, let me know why. The concert association has free use of all these images. For all publication, please make sure I get photo credit.

Since I am allowing free downloads, I have not activated any purchase options, but the lab I use (MPIX) is very good and very fast should you want prints. Just let me know.

No commercial or political use without my permission. Professional use for resume purposes is allowed, and the Juneau Symphony may use the images for any non-political fund-raising purpose.

I tried to capture individual musicians as much as possible, rather than take too many of the collective orchestra. So I also shot during setup, tuning, intermission, etc.

The last image is a three-frame panorama.

For anyone who cares, I was using a tripod-mounted Canon 5DIII in single-shot, silent-shutter mode, focus beep disabled, LCD screen review off, Auto ISO, but mostly taken at 6400 ISO, in Tv mode, with a 100-400 L II lens, mostly wide-open at f/5.6. Most images were taken at 1/50-1/70 shutter speed, but a few (for the arrivals of Troy Quinn and concertmaster Lisa Ibias) were taken at 1/100 or 1/125 second. Most were triggered with a remote release to minimize the risk of vibration. All images were shot in RAW and processed with Lightroom CC.

By the way, I just realized on June 18 that, contrary to my intention, the concert rehearsal photos were not downloadable. I have now permitted downloading of the rehearsal pictures. I have also added 25 photos to the rehearsal gallery.
