All the images for Race 1 are now uploaded. The images for Race 2 are in a separate gallery.

I strongly recommend you not use the website slideshow feature. The images in slideshow are very low resolution. Just toggle from one image to another, or select from the gridview to get the highest resolution. (They will be much sharper.)

This gallery opens with the three images I sent to the ADN on February 18.
The captions were as follows.

For 1221.jpg:
Alyeska Ski Club's U18 Madilyn Short drops into a tuck for the upper gates in the Alyeska Cup State Championship Super-G Wednesday. Short placed eighth overall. A firm race surface and clear skies provided perfect race conditions. U18 Amanda Lundgren was first overall; followed by U14 Sanne Cassee and April Ingrim, a U16.

For 1352.jpg:
Kennedy Kane, racing for Alyeska Ski Club, rides flat skis in the upper gates of the Alyeska Cup State Championship Super-G before negotiating the steep pitch of the Waterfall Wednesday. She was second in the U14 class and ninth overall. Amanda Lundgren won. Second was U14 Sanne Cassee, and third was U16 April Ingrim.

For 1494.jpg:
U14 Conner Lane, racing for Alyeska Ski Club, enters the Waterfall pitch in Alyeska's Bowl en route to finishing eighth overall in the men's Alyeska Cup State Championship Super-G Wednesday. U16 Jack Stahla won. U21 Barren Cabana was second. Garrett Mashburn, a U18, was third.
ADN chose to run Kane and Lane in the February 19 issue.

Photos are arranged in chronological order as taken. The site slideshow feature is low resolution; the best quality viewing resolution is achieved by toggling to individual images.

The purpose of the gallery is mainly to let racers and parents review and relive and enjoy some athletic moments in the race, not to sell pictures. But if you are interested in purchasing images, I recommend you contact me first. Very important: the lab will not permit changing or canceling an order after it is placed. Also, a few photos as edited are not 2:3 aspect ratio (as shot in the camera). Be careful not to order a photo with non-2:3 aspect ration; contact me first. I haven't set prices for square images (1:1).

Feel free to email me with any questions or suggestions.
