This group holds the daily photo galleries containing my photos of each of the RMISA races. Viewing is free.
The site's "slideshow" function is low resolution. I am shooting very high res images and am uploading (for speed and efficiency) files that are about 2 mB. On screen, even these small files produce images that are much sharper when seen individually. Toggling from one image to another or using the cursor to select a particular photo gives much sharper images than letting the site slideshow feature simply cycle through.
If anyone choses to purchase images, I donate all net proceeds to the Alyeska junior program.
Photos are arranged in chronological order as taken, and are thus in run order for each run.
The purpose of the galleries is mainly to let racers review and relive and enjoy some athletic moments in the race, not to sell pictures. But if you are interested in purchasing images, I recommend you contact me first. Very important: the lab is very good but it will not permit changing or canceling an order after it is placed. Also, a few photos as edited are not 2:3 aspect ratio (as shot in the camera). Be careful not to order a photo with non-2:3 aspect ratio; contact me first. I haven't set prices for square images (1:1) or a few quasi-panoramas. Feel free to email me with any questions or suggestions.
I will substitute much higher resolution files and re-edited images for orders for large prints. Prints will have the "Bob Eastaugh" watermark in the lower left corner, but the Zenfolio infinity watermark will be deleted.
Important: If you are considering whether to order prints, it appears the lab will increase print costs 10-20% effective March 17.
A few racers have asked about downloading. On a one-off basis, I will sell very small digital files for $10 (adequate for emails) and large digital files for $25 (adequate for 8x12). Email me first; this is not available on line. Payment will be to Glacier Valley Ski Education Foundation (for the juniors). You will be required to approve and return by email a limited license that forbids commercial or political use. But you are welcome to use the digital files (or the prints) to seek athletic or academic scholarships or support. Let me know what you have in mind.
