These are some of the images I was considering to send the ADN. The first four were the ones I sent. The Monday print edition ran the first two (Samantha Langlie finishing in a low tuck and Liam Jordan rounding a panel on two skis and one hand), but the ADN reversed the captions I sent.

I was considering several of the other five as alternatives, as well as many others that demonstrated great skiing. There was a lot of entertaining skiing. Thanks, racers.

Here are the captions I sent for the first four:

.[Chris, note that my earlier email describing this image mistated that she won both giant slaloms; she didn’t. she won two slaloms today. She was third in one of yesterday’s U14 giant slaloms]

Arctic Valley Ski Team U12 racer Julien-Didier Stiassny deflects a “stubby” slalom gate with his knee in Saturday’s first Coca-Cola Classic U12 slalom. He won the second slalom and also finished second in the first U12 Coca-Cola giant slalom Friday on the Alyeska Race Trail.
