Laurie and Blair, Again; October 2016

Laurie and Blair Pessemier are setting an inspiring example for us.  They enjoy painting together; they work rapidly; their paintings are excellent and worth purchasing; they live and paint in exotic places.  Plus Laurie publishes an informative and fascinating art-related blog.  Her blog inspired me to experiment with creating a photo blog for the very first time, and you are seeing the latest entry.

Laurie also offers painting workshops, and Suzanne enjoyed painted with her and Blair in Paris and Italy.  Laurie also seems happy in teaching and helping relatively less-skilled painters.

For us, one attraction is visiting with them and watching them paint so rapidly and effectively with obvious enthusiasm and skill.

Laurie's blog, by the way, is artnotesitaly.wordpress.com, and well-worth reading (and enjoying).

Here Laurie both shelters and encourages a painter on the Left Bank of Seine in light drizzle in 2014.

Laurie's brushes reside in this pouch.

Here Blair paints near Laurie in Italy.

Nearby, Laurie paints an Italian village, assisted by Harika.

After a lifetime of mainly expressing myself with words, my postings here will mainly rely on images.  They will speak for themselves to some extent, but I'll usually add a few comments of explanation.  I've taken photographs for decades, since the 1950's, inspired in part by my father's photographic skill.  Four years of photo assignments and quality darkroom time eventually gave way to decades of casual and family picture-taking.  I re-immersed myself when I left film and turned to digital.
