Leo Three; Anchorage (2003-2016)

Looking pensive or noble wasn't Leo's first preference.  He preferred being loose and having fun, usually with people, more rarely with other dogs.

First choice was, always, having someone rub his ears.  Second choice was dashing around, often for no obvious purpose.  He was born in a snowy winter and enjoyed playing in snow.  Poodles are athletic and Leo's line had been bred for working athleticism, including retrieving, so as a mature adult, Leo was beefier than the usual poodle.  As a result, he had good acceleration, but not a very high cruising speed.

Here are some illustrations.

First choice: getting rubbed.

Second choice: dashing, preferably in snow.

Rolling in snow was good, too.

Leo had a snowy play date with Matisse Bataille.  He loved it, of course.

After a lifetime of mainly expressing myself with words, my postings here will mainly rely on images.  They will speak for themselves to some extent, but I'll usually add a few comments of explanation.  I've taken photographs for decades, since the 1950's, inspired in part by my father's photographic skill.  Four years of photo assignments and quality darkroom time eventually gave way to decades of casual and family picture-taking.  I re-immersed myself when I left film and turned to digital.
