To new and old readers: The blog returns. It was a long — nearly one year — hiatus. Too long, since every passing day, week, month, has incrementally increased the inertia to resumption.
Content warning: As before, topics and content will be idiosyncratic and highly circumstantial. And as before, the blog will be both image and text driven. Posts will sometimes be more timely, and sometimes not, since strict chronological adherence is so limiting. Elaboration of the philosophy driving the blog might follow later, or it might not. For now, it is more important to begin posting again than to announce (or invent) a governing Grand Unified Blog Theory.
In the near future, expect posts addressing, among other things:

After a lifetime of mainly expressing myself with words, my postings here will mainly rely on images. They will speak for themselves to some extent, but I'll usually add a few comments of explanation. I've taken photographs for decades, since the 1950's, inspired in part by my father's photographic skill. Four years of photo assignments and quality darkroom time eventually gave way to decades of casual and family picture-taking. I re-immersed myself when I left film and turned to digital.
