Portugal. A Very Neat Place. Porto. Part Four. (Street Scenes) (September 2019)

Porto rewards visitors. It is visually entertaining and something interesting pops up on every block.  But it isn't easy trying to sort the resulting images into logical, let alone exclusive, categories. Should the street musician be part of the "street scene" or is he in the "people" category? Some of these images defy precise classification.

Visitors with a map puzzle out the next stop, while a street musician entertains in a sparsely populated courtyard.

Visitors rest, regroup, stride on with purpose, or savor the gelato.

The lively evening scene is colorful and social.

After a lifetime of mainly expressing myself with words, my postings here will mainly rely on images.  They will speak for themselves to some extent, but I'll usually add a few comments of explanation.  I've taken photographs for decades, since the 1950's, inspired in part by my father's photographic skill.  Four years of photo assignments and quality darkroom time eventually gave way to decades of casual and family picture-taking.  I re-immersed myself when I left film and turned to digital.
