Ski Race Color Swatch; Alyeska, March 3, 2017. This montage captures some of the vibrant colors and patterns on display at Alyeska Ski Club's Brian Russell Memorial Race and the associated costume contest. I took the images of the racers' costumes and created the montage to give a flavor of the bright variety of wild colors and themes. Montage created in Lightroom.
Taken with Canon 5D Mark IV and 70-200 f/4 IS lens at various focal lengths; 1/2500 at f/4; ISO 1000 and various other.

After a lifetime of mainly expressing myself with words, my postings here will mainly rely on images. They will speak for themselves to some extent, but I'll usually add a few comments of explanation. I've taken photographs for decades, since the 1950's, inspired in part by my father's photographic skill. Four years of photo assignments and quality darkroom time eventually gave way to decades of casual and family picture-taking. I re-immersed myself when I left film and turned to digital.
