Halibut Cove Fish n' Chips Weekend, Part One; August 2017

Robin and Vincent's Fish n' Chips party was a great reason to visit Halibut Cove again.  In several parts, here are some images from the weekend.  It was good to see old friends and make new ones.

And here is a direct link to the gallery showing more photos of the entire weekend:  http://bobeastaughimagery.zenfolio.com/p127234732

Halibut hang on the Spit.  They don't seem as large as in years past.

Left: Study in Iron: a black hatch on a red deck, aboard the Stormbird.

Right: Wonder Woman (Adele) lowers a deck cargo tank onto the Stormbird.

Don Darnell's flags wave cheery greetings on a sunny day.

But the next day was much different.  Drizzle dots the head of a little brown bird on the isthmus.

Big drops leave big ripples in a piling's shadow.

It was a good day to drop by Annette's amazing studio and see her and Marv before they headed for Homer for the day.

After a lifetime of mainly expressing myself with words, my postings here will mainly rely on images.  They will speak for themselves to some extent, but I'll usually add a few comments of explanation.  I've taken photographs for decades, since the 1950's, inspired in part by my father's photographic skill.  Four years of photo assignments and quality darkroom time eventually gave way to decades of casual and family picture-taking.  I re-immersed myself when I left film and turned to digital.
